My Story

Ciao! I’m Kelly. I’m in my mid-30s, and if I had to describe myself in three words, I’d say: curious, nature-lover, and fun! Originally from Oxford, I’ve always had a deep curiosity for learning, meeting new people, and exploring new places. After traveling the world solo for 15 months, I came back home with a new dream – to live a more active and a outdoor life and speak another language fluently. While living in Cambridge and training for triathlons, I decided to make that dream a reality. I packed my bags and moved to Italy, where I could enjoy a sunnier, more active lifestyle without constantly checking the weather!

Fast forward seven years, and although living in a new culture has its challenges, I feel incredibly lucky to have this life. Italy’s rich traditions, passionate people, and breathtaking landscapes—from peaceful countryside and rolling hills to stunning lakes, seaside, and ancient cities—have captivated me. The hidden gems of Tuscany, especially, are places I can’t wait to share with you!

My love for sport

Triathlon became a huge part of my life since 2007, and I’ve never looked back. This sport has transformed me—not just physically, but mentally. I’ve gained more energy, a deeper sense of achievement, lifelong friendships, and the thrill of pushing my limits. I’ve competed in Sprint, Olympic, and 70.3 Ironman races across the UK, Italy, Austria, and Slovenia, and I love the balance of training and competition.

Along my journey, I’ve had the privilege of training with two incredible coaches. Tim Williams, who has coached some of the world’s top triathletes, including Will Clarke and Lucy Gossage, was a huge influence. Tim holds leadership roles in the sport as the East Region Head Coach for British Triathlon and Senior Coach and Training Coordinator at Cambridge Triathlon Club.

Now, I’m coached by the amazing Roberto Gambero in Italy, whose vision aligns perfectly with mine. Roberto has a gift for helping women go from struggling to run 1k to completing Ironman races! Under his guidance, I began finishing in the top 3 in races across Italy. His belief in people has been a powerful motivator, and his training continues to push me to new levels. I’ve learned so much from him and look forward to where this journey will take me!

For me, triathlon is more than a sport—it’s a lifestyle that brings continuous growth and discovery. I’ve seen it change the lives of many women, and I want to share that joy by supporting others on their triathlon journey.

Tri2discover

This is where Tri2Discover was born—from my passion for both triathlon and Italy.

Running has always been a passion of mine, and I believe it’s a sport for everyone. All you need is a pair of trainers, and you can run anywhere—fast or slow, city or countryside. Running gives you a sense of freedom and requires incredible mental strength (especially as the final leg of a triathlon). In fact, many triathletes start as runners, so I wanted to create a retreat that could include everyone who loves running, whether you’re just starting out or an experienced runner. My goal is to reach more women, share the joy of running, and build a supportive community around it.

And who knows? Maybe through these retreats, you’ll fall in love with triathlon too! 🙂

I also offer online programs designed to educate, guide, and support women at any stage of their triathlon journey, no matter their age or fitness level. I believe in the power of community, where we can share our passions, doubts, and victories, all while encouraging each other to reach our goals.

Let’s embark on this journey together and discover our true potential—and joy!
