Never have to dry yourself with your socks again with this swim checklist!
If it’s happened to us, for sure it’s happened to others.
Forgetting to bring your underwear and having to go about the entire day commando?
Realising you left your towel hung up in the spare room from the last session and so you find yourself trying to dry off with your socks? Trying to comb your hair with your hands because you’ve forgotten that hairbrush.
Wouldn’t it be nice to avoid these mistakes and at times, the embarrassment? Well, keep this list close to hand and enjoy getting to the pool with the confidence that you have everything you need for your swim session (and after!)
The Pool Swim
This is a list of the things that we take to our swim sessions, to know what training we have to follow and to stay hydrated. We often like starting off with a few drills to get our brains working on the stroke at the start of the session, so we have included here the extra equipment. It’s always worth having 2 pairs of goggles and 2 hats, just in case they break!
- Swim costume
- Goggles (x2)
- Swim hat (x2)
- Water Bottle
- Watch
- Training Schedule
- Paddles, Pull buoy, Kick board
- Heart rate strap
Post-swim
If it’s your first time at the pool, it might be a good idea to call up and ask what type of lockers they have as some require a coin and others need an entire lock to close it. Usually you can ask to borrow one at reception or even buy the required lock.
Hairdryers are also a hit and miss, so it’s something else worth checking.
- Locker & key or coins (depends)
- Flip Flops
- Towel
- Shampoo & Conditioner
- Shower Gel
- Deodorant
- Underwear (pants, socks and bra in a plastic bag)
- Snack bar
- Hair brush & band
- Hair dryer (again depends!)
- Make-up (ladies if you're heading to work!)
